How do I create an event?
Creating an event is very simple. Once you register on putt2gether, you need to navigate through the following tabs to create a round
- Click on Create Event
- Select Golf Course
- Select date and time
- Enter event details like event name, tee box, event type, number of holes & scoring format
As the last step you need to invite the golfers to participate in the event. Directly invite golfer who are on putt2gether by selecting their name in the list of suggestions. For golfers who have not downloaded the app as yet, send them an invite via mail, FB, Whatsapp or SMS.
Once you have invited all your friends, just press ‘Create event’ and it’s done!
How do I invite other golfers for the event?
You can directly invite your friends who are on putt2gether by selecting their name in suggestions.
Golfers who are yet to download the app, can be invited via mail, FB, Whats app or SMS.
How do I start scoring?
15 minutes before the scheduled time of the event, the event will automatically start. Alternately, the Admin can also start the event by pressing ‘Start event’ after selecting the event in ‘Invites’ section.
To start scoring once the event has started, Select the event in ‘Todays event’ on the home screen and press ‘START ROUND’. You are ready to start scoring from Hole number 1!
If you see a grey tab ‘Round not started’, this means the event has yet not started. In this case, please ask the event admin to ‘Start Event’.
What are Public and Private events?
Public events are those events which are open for everyone to join. You can send request to Admin of the event to participate in the event.
Private events are closed group events. They are not visible to anyone accept the participants on the calendar and hence nobody else will be able to join that event.
How to I view the public events?
Public events can be viewed in the Invites section of the app. Press the request to participate tab in the invites section & select a golf course. A calendar with public events marked in green will appear for you to choose.
How to I participate in the public events?
To participate in public events, press ‘Invite’ on the home screen, then press the tab ‘Request to participate’. Choose the golf course where you want to see the public events. Send ‘Request to participate’ on the event where you would like to participate. The Admin shall review your request and will either accept or reject it and you will receive a notification about the same.
How can I edit my handicap?
There are 2 ways to edit your handicap
- Overall change in Handicap: Go to your profile page and simply edit your handicap and save it. This will get changed for all your future events
- Edit handicap for the event: Once you accept the invite for an event, you can go to ‘View participants’ tab on event details page and edit your handicap for that specific event only.
Can the Admin change the handicap of the participants?
Yes, The Admin can change the handicap of the participants till the start of the event. No editing of handicap is possible once the event has started. The golfers will be intimated of their revised handicap.
Can I edit my handicap during the round?
No, you cannot change your handicap during the round. Any changes done in the handicap during the round (by editing your profile) will start reflecting from your next round.
